Good to Know:

Attire: Blue Volunteer shirts will be provided (while supplies last). Check in at the Volunteer Booth to collect your shirt and assignment. Feel free to add some pink accessories to show your spirit!

Volunteer Hour Sign-Offs: Need your volunteer hours signed off? No problem! Just bring your sheet to the Volunteer Check-In Station at the end of your shift, and we’ll be happy to sign it for you!

Want to enjoy the event? Of course, we would love to have you join the event after or before your volunteer shift! After all, we couldn't do this without you, and we'd love for you to enjoy the festivities.

Registration: Everyone who volunteers at Pink on Parade needs to register as a volunteer. During registration, please choose the space you prefer to work in. If you can work more than one shift, you are welcome to!

Resources needed: Some roles have a few resources that you may need on the day of the event. For example, Route cheerleaders are encouraged to bring pom-poms or signs to encourage walkers, or those involved in setup should bring work gloves. These are optional resources for you to bring, but encouraged!

What Will You Be Doing?

Click each description for availability!

Traffic Control: helps keep walkers safe along the streets and the route. You'll be stationed at key intersections or crossing points to guide participants, monitor traffic, and ensure everyone can enjoy the walk with confidence and security.

Routes: The most important part of the event! You'll be positioned along the walking path to help guide walkers, cheer them on, and provide water to ensure everyone has a positive experience.

Survivor Pavilion: is a special space dedicated to honoring and celebrating cancer survivors. You'll be creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for all who visit the pavilion.

Kid’s Zone: is a lively and engaging area designed to give children a fun, safe space to enjoy the event. You’ll help create a joyful atmosphere by supporting games, crafts, and activities for kids and their families.

Vendor Expo: Information, retail, and food vendors help create the festive experience. You'll help vendors find their space, monitor the loading zone, and support with small setup tasks.

Team Tailgate: is a VIP area where teams gather to celebrate, connect, and show their spirit before the walk begins. You’ll help create a fun, festive, and welcoming space for teams to enjoy.

Check-in: Greeters are the first friendly faces participants see when they arrive. You’ll set the tone for the event by offering a warm welcome and helping direct guests to the right areas.

Balloons: are an important part of the festive and uplifting atmosphere. You’ll help prepare, distribute, and display balloons that bring joy to the event.

Pre-Event Set-Up: Our work the day before the event ensures that all areas are clearly marked, properly barricaded, and ready for set up in the morning.

Photographers: We couldn't share the amazing things that happen without the support of our photographers. You'll have the opportunity to capture the beautiful moments of Pink on Parade.
